My grandfather Harry Breakell Nash left Crewe to study in the U.S. when he was about 20. His grandfather was John Ainsworth who lived in Crewe in the mid 1800s and grandmother Anne Ainsworth. I would like to find out more about them.

My grandmother was Sarah Ann Nash Bucshon and her parents were Culbert Nash and Della Dunstin Nash.I know my great grandpa came from England but thats about it. I remember the name Cooksey and Wakensahw and Gaffy growing up from a family reunion in Streator Il.back in the 1950's and 1960's. My great grandparents had Debs(Delbert), Harry, Ethel, Ruth and Sarah Nash. I think there was a Jr. Nash but not sure where he came from or if he was in the family. hi, my ancestors were farmers and come from great witcombe glos, i think they might be connected to the skillicorne nash family, we have found a recipt for church thithes circa 1790 for skilicorn nash but I cant actually find a connection. thomas nash doctor of divinity was his father and was rector of great witcombe for a time. i am reserching church records next. my grand mother said we were related to the Heavens family of Lundy Isalnd but I have found no evidence of this.my father william james nash and his father were showmen and travelled the west of england in the early 1900's hope you found this of some interest

My mothers maiden name was Nash, Her first name was Enfys and I believe she was born in either Coleford or Cinderford, I think her fathers name was Henry but i`m not sure of that. I think her date of birth was 1929 but again i`m not sure, She had three brothers Alfred,William and Ronald and a sister named Christine. I remember as a child that two of her brothers Alfred and William
lived in Oakdale as we did, Her other brother Ronald lived in Rhoose and her sister married a Charles Harrington and lived in Bristol. I`d very much appreciate it if anyone can give me some info on my mothers early life and are there any relatives out there that I don`t know about.

Aha, there's a newer guestbook page!
I stumbled across the Nash pages quite by accident the other day while tracking down my Talbot ancestors. I am the oldest son of Donald Talbot, who was the oldest son of John Royston Talbot, who was the oldest son of Sarah Nash and Thomas Talbot. What a great find for me!

 Hi Toni - My husband Terry is the great x 3 grandson of the Richard Nash who co-owned Sling Pit briefly in 1841. He died fairly young in the next decade leaving 4 children - his only son Benjamin moved first to Wales then to Manchester with his family. We only discovered links to the Forest of Dean a couple of years ago - Moira Gilfeather and Matt Nash have been really helpful. It's so interesting discovering a link to an area we can explore as Gloucestershire is only 2-3 hours away.
Your website is GREAT - keep up the good work. If I can get any good photos of Ellwood for you I'll send on.
